Try something new

Pick something that you do not normally do and have a go at it.

This will break your normal thinking patterns. Because it is new it also makes the brain pay far more attention than when you are doing normal things and new ideas may flow from this.

It might be a short term thing like reading a different type of book, getting on a bus instead of driving, brushing your teeth with your other hand etc. or longer term like buying a musical instrument, changing a room around etc. It depends on what might be new for you.
